Muhly Grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris)

Muhly Grass can be planted in masses to serve as a ground cover helping to prevent erosion as well as an accent along borders. The hardy plant has dense clumps of finely textured leaves with plumes of small, silky violet flowers. When used as a ground cover, the mass plantings appear as a pink or purple haze when in full bloom.
