Green Buttonwood (Conocarpus erectus)
Green Buttonwood tolerates salt and wind well and is often used as an accent or a specimen tree in residential and commercial landscapes along the coast. It can be trimmed into an informal hedge and also used as a buffer in plantings. The shrub prefers full sun, has long, leather-like green leaves, and typically grows from 20-40 feet providing significant cover for Florida wildlife.
