Magnolia – D. D. Blanchard (Magnolia grandiflora)
The D. D. Blanchard Magnolia is a grand native evergreen tree that can grow in a pyramid shape to 50 feet high and 25 feet wide with large, waxy, leather-like dark green leaves showcasing beautiful huge cup-shaped creamy white fragrant flowers. The underside of the leaves is a yellow-brown color which provides a wonderful contrast. This spectacular tree is drought-tolerant and is an excellent choice for an accent tree or a privacy screen. The tree prefers sun to partial shade and is known for being deer-resistant.
